Process enclosures, gas-path components and substrate supports for CVD and LPCVD application review.

Process overview

Where the components fit

Deposition adds films used to build semiconductor structures, including insulating and conducting layers. Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and low-pressure CVD (LPCVD) are process families whose equipment and component requirements depend on the film, chemistry and operating conditions.

For suitable furnace and chamber designs, quartz tubes and assemblies provide process enclosures, injectors define gas paths, and carriers support substrates. Baffles and support fixtures are reviewed around their position, material, geometry and cleaning exposure.

  1. 01

    Define the film and process

The intended film and deposition method establish the starting point for reviewing gases, pressure and thermal exposure.

  2. 02

    Map the component roles

Process tubes, injectors, baffles and carriers have different functions. Their interfaces and installation positions must match the equipment drawing.

  3. 03

    Review use and cleaning together

Component assessment includes the intended process environment and the agreed cleaning or maintenance conditions.

Before quotation

Define your application.

A component associated with CVD or LPCVD is not automatically suitable for every deposition chemistry, plasma environment or cleaning method. Material and tool compatibility require application-specific review and customer qualification.
